Inside you left a raging storm, destroying me from inside;
There is no safe shelter, no where I can safely hide.
In my head your voice resonates and bounces off the walls,
My defenses are lowered, all my hope stumbles and falls.
When will you come back to me, will you ever see;
We were always meant to be, our love like destiny.
You broke my heart, and a hundred times I repaired;
Through your raging chaos, I always faired.
I never left your side, even when you would flee from me,
I never would have left you, how can this even be?
The darkness of your soul consumes me like a raging fire,
The need to get out alive, stop choking, is dire.
How can I ever escape, how can I get away,
What can I do to justify me going, what can I say?
You turned your back on me while I was fighting to stay,
You left the comfort of our bed, and with her you lay.
Cold and alone, my soul still pleads to find you next to me,
But I'm beginning to see, that you'll never let happiness be.

Happiness's Destruction

Storms
Somedays it seems to storm so hard that the rain is coming down sideways and beating us down. The thunder rolls and all we see is the destruction that the storm is bringing. We see the trees breaking and the roof being torn apart. We see the roads flooding and the dents hail leaves in our cars. But if we just hold on, if we just wait in a safe, strong shelter, the storm inevitably passes. We can rebuild, we can remake, and we can gain strength. We can build a stronger shelter, learn how to protect the car, and gain strength from having to rebuild all that was destroyed. We can make sure that the next storm doesn't leave us devastated and desolate.
